THOROUGH! FRIENDLY! INFORMATIVE!

Let me explain why I chose "Thorough, Friendly, Informative Home Inspections" as my tag line...
THOROUGH:
I promise to never forget how important the purchase is to my clients and their future.
On the day of inspection your new home is just as important to me, and has my complete focus.
I do this by limiting myself to one inspection a day.
If the home or my clients' concerns require more time than usual, I have that time.
I don't have to race off to the next quickie inspection.
It also means that I try to test or inspect every accessible fixture or component rather than the all too common representative or random sampling.
I won't test one door, window, or receptacle and call the rest good.
Thorough also means that I have the background, training, experience, knowledge and intelligence to interpret what I'm looking at.
I am a regular contributor to a number of technical forums for home inspectors, a moderator at The Inspectors Journal, one of those forums, and have served on the education committee of one of the largest national organizations.
No home inspector knows it all, and I continue my education and research on an almost daily basis.
I come equipped with a tool bag full of the latest and best inspection equipment, a fine eye for detail and, most significantly, the integrity to conduct nothing less than a thorough inspection.
FRIENDLY:
I believe this to be a vital ingredient in communicating with my clients who are encouraged to ask questions during the inspection.
I will introduce you to, and explain, the various safety features and components of your new home.
Buying a home can be a stressful time and the last thing you need is an inspector who is too egotistical or shy to be approachable or responsive to your concerns.
It is my job I take very seriously, not myself.
I am readily available to you before, during, and at any time after the inspection to answer (or research if needed) any question you may have about your new home.
INFORMATIVE:
There is little point in a home inspection if the client is left in the dark about the findings.
Reports full of disclaimers and irrelevant boilerplate can be a tough read.
On-site checklist style reports are great for the inspector but, by nature, contain little information.
Some simple reports are bulked out with pre-printed home maintenance or reference manuals.
Information about flat roofs when the home doesn't have one, or how to operate a steam heating system when there is a forced air furnace, should not be what you are paying for.
I developed my report format to be entirely relevant and specific to your home, very detailed, yet easily understood, and any items in need of repair are clearly identified and explained.
Photos are incorporated, cropped and annotated, to better illustrate problems and locate system controls.
Yes, it takes extra effort to produce a report like this, but I wasn't satisfied with anything less.
Neither should you be!
